The power animal ‘wolf’

So enjoying this commission, especially as it is my Power animal and my ‘aficionado’ of wolves.

Only a few stages to show you today but there will be more postings shortly.

The challenge of only using black and white glaze is testing my love of this animal.  As I so want him to eventually take centre stage in the beautiful majestic moonlight. I am hoping that you will feel his vibrational energy ringing through the mountains when the tile is finally finished.

Excited to get back to it……..love Debbiex

Mr Clay

The challenge begins!

Every pack of (12.5 kg) clay that arrives, you consider it’s challenges. Each pack of clay has it’s own animal behaviour, it’s own living soul!

Today, ‘will you ‘Mr Clay’ mirror every movement of how I handle you as you dry?’ or  will my confidence over power you and my speed overcome your movement.

As you dry, stretch and shrink, please do not warp or crack…….stay still, stay quiet as I place you gently outside to dry gracefully in the sunshine.

Dry slowly ‘Mr Clay’, not too quickly!

I observe you daily, hourly as I attentively watch you change colour and shape, witnessing the sun consume all the moisture from your body, leaving nothing but the natural hardened dry earth.

‘Mr Clay’……it is time, the oven awaits you. Your destiny is now with the inferno of fire, ‘I pray you will behave!’.  I will see you again in the morning when our new friendship starts again!! xx

Friday Clay Fighting!

It’s Friday! …..yay …….and it has been one of those days…..a good day ‘none-the-less’ but trying to juggle the following tasks and not succeeding in completing one of them ‘yet’!………..

  • Making porcelain ‘Fish Lace’
  • Updating my new website with all the new categories
  • Glazing dragonflies and butterflies
  • Taking dogs for a walk
  • Picking more ripe figs off the tree before the wasps consume them

Mind is too busy on the weekend ahead and that starts with this evenings entertainment of a show of ‘Pura Sangre’ horses, dancing to Spanish Flamenco music.

Perhaps more to follow tomorrow but for now ‘have a great weekend’.
